“Kutty Movies” is a 2010 Indian romantic action drama film. It was directed by Mitran Jawahar, who again worked with the lead actor after his previous successful project. The film stars Radha Ravi (making his debut in Tamil cinema) in the lead role alongside Dhanush, Shriya Saran, and Dhyan. The film is actually a remake of the 2004 Telugu film “Arya”, and was produced by Gemini Film Circuit. The film took about a year to make and was released on January 14, 2010, during the Tamil festival Thai Pongal. It received mixed but mostly positive reviews, performed well at the box office, and ran for 50 days in theatres.

Story

Once upon a time, on the shores of Kanyakumari, Geeta (played by Shreya Saran) stumbles upon an obsolete personal diary. Inside, she found a beautiful poem that spoke to her heart, and she had memorized it page by page. As she and her friends marvel at the mesmerising sunrise, an accident happens: Geeta accidentally drops one of her ankles in the sea. In a moment of panic, she saw a man jump into the water to retrieve her, only to tragically find her lifeless in the waves. The heartbreaking event haunts him in his dreams, burdening him with heavy guilt.

Fast forward to the present in Chennai, where Geeta crosses paths with Arjun (portrayed by Sameer Datnani), a rich and handsome young man from her college who becomes her love interest. However, their relationship took a dark turn when Arjun proposed to her, but she resorted to emotional manipulation, threatening to end her life by jumping off the college roof unless she did. Does not respond to his feelings. Afraid of the weight of another tragedy and already carrying the guilt of the past, Geeta reluctantly agrees to his advances. In front of the entire college, she admits her emotional stress and tells Arjun, “I love you”. Kutty Movies, who had seen the whole scene, exclaimed, “I love you”.

Conclusion

The film is a classic love triangle. Geetha centers on the love between two young men, Arjun and Katti. Arjun is the first to express his love for her, but Kutty Movies cannot easily forget her feelings for him. The big question is: who will Geeta choose to marry? It is a story of love and choice. Interestingly, this film is a remake of the Tollywood film ‘Arya’.
